Handpainted resin statue of Our Lady Untier of Knots. Our Lady Untier of Knots feast day is 28 September. She is also known as Our Lady Undoer of Knots. The devotion to Our Lady under the title of Untier of Knots dates back to the 2nd century. St. Irenaeus wrote,  “The knot of Eve’s disobedience was untied by the obedience of Mary; what the virgin Eve bound by her unbelief, the Virgin Mary loosened by her faith.”
 
Mary’s faith continues unties the knot of sin in our lives today. Mary is the mother that we go to with those big and small knots in our lives that are hurting us or hindering us in our journey to God. We can go to her with our pleas, much like a child to a mother and hand her our knots to untie. Mary, Untier of Knots, pray for us!
