And he took bread, and when he had given thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” Luke 22:19

The institution of the Holy Eucharist took place when Jesus uttered these words at the Last Supper. He knew he knew his passion was about to begin and he would sacrfice himself for the sake of the salvation of all of us. We not only remember this sacrifice, but we witness the sacrfice every time we attend mass.

This icon can be displayed anywhere and is a smaller size making it perfect to display anywhere in the kitchen or near your dining table. It can also be used during prayer for days that you can't make it to mass, you can reflect on the mysteries of the Last Supper and the Holy Eucharist.

About Icons

Icon comes from the Greek word eikon which means "image". Traditionally, icons are created to aid in revealing deeper theological messages and teach moral lessons. The writing of icons dates to St. Luke who is believed to have written icons as well. Icons are a gentle and beautiful visual aid to prayer and meditation and reminds us of God's presence.

    Beautiful Icon

I absolutely love this. It is the perfect size and the depiction is just beautiful. The colours are vibrant. It’s a very calming Icon to have above the dining table to remember and pray before meals.
